[Environment] Seeking to encourage Meath County Councillors to support a motion by Councillor Sharon Tolan banning all cars from Meath beaches
Public Officials Lobbied
{'name': 'Email All Councillors', 'role': 'First two paragraphs of email - We warmly welcomed the decision in July 2020 of the Environment Special Policy Committee of Meath County Council to retain the prohibition on cars on the beaches of Mornington, Bettystown, Laytown and Gormanston. \n\nWe understand that there will be a motion put forward by Councillor Sharon Tolan “to make this ban of vehicles from the beaches permanent, with the exception of the disability and age friendly parking provision already made”. We would recommend an addition to this motion due to the fact that the disability and age friendly parking provision has not yet been implemented for Gormanston Beach. The motion could be strengthened to say something like “with the exception of the disability and age friendly parking provision already made or in planning”.'}

The text was as follows: -\nDear Councillor,\nWe would be very grateful if you would support our community in any forthcoming voting on the Meath County Development Plan. We are a village and seaside community and want to develop as such. Any large scale housing development will destroy this objective completely. \nThe overwhelming majority of residents supports the de-zoning as proposed by Meath CC and its planners. \nYour support to us is vital. \nSincerely\nPeter Brady—Chairperson'}
