Common Questions
Why this exists
An average Irish citizen has had no way to track or interpret how they are governed. The information exists — in Oireachtas records, in the Register of Members' Interests, on citizensinformation.ie, scattered across dozens of government websites — but it has never been connected, searchable, or explained in plain language in one place.
This section of Overwatch Report is our attempt to change that. Every piece of data comes from public sources. Every entitlement listed is real and current. Every TD's voting record is pulled directly from the Oireachtas API. We are not a political party, a lobby group, or a government body. We are journalists who believe you have a right to understand how your country is run.
