The GCCN representatives withdrew from the SPCs as a result on inaction and are now engaged in a mediation process with Galway City Council to identify more effective ways of working.

[Environment] Galway City Council Green Leaf designation. Galway City Council was awarded a Green Leaf designation for 2017. From April, the project was without a co-ordinator and the project, an important one for those engaged in issues relating to the environment and sustainability, largely stalled. This was an issue of concern fro GCCN and particularly for the GCCN Environment Linkage Group.
