[Children and Youth Affairs] During an address at a public event, Deputy Ivana Bacik referred to "women and girls in prostitution". MECPATHS strongly believes that such language id not appropriate. Girls are women under the age of 18 and as such are children. Children can never be associated with or labelled as perons "in prostitution". They remain children who may be victims of child sexual exploitation and never consent to but maybe coerced into child sexual exploitation
