[Environment] It seems to me as a concerned citizen that our Government needs to put more effort/emphasis into preparing and developing a climate action planto show that Ireland is serious on climate as we are one of the countries which has most emissions and will have to pay severe pealties in 2020. Many of our citizens are ready to work with the Governmentbut so far there is no plan in place. Besides, the poorer people are those who suffer most and as concerned citizens we need to act justly

The concern is that this is a secretive and dangerous trade deal, which if passed into Law would adversely impact on Irish Citizens in ways never imagined before. As it stands there is the possibility of corporations being le to sue the Government and foods such as hormone injected beef may flood the Irish market. All of this means that irish Agriculture, the environment and human health are put at serious risk

Minister Halligan provided welcoming remarks to the event and then stayed to listen to a presentation by David Mallows, Lecturer with the University College London.
